On Saturday, having been very fed up with problems on his bike, which were both going to be very costly to sort out.. and undesirable, Ben decided to go and buy a new bike - a Cannondale R700... It's extremely fast, and scary too. He had his first puncture today ... unfortunately! - he isn't used to them!
Editor - why would you want to ride a bike like that on a long trip like this?! (see diary 16/7/05 for Bens reply)
